About Nitin Sharma

Nitin Sharma is a British entrepreneur and the founder of rectools.io and CEO of RecTalk Media, its umbrella media brand for the global recruitment industry. He is also the host of the RecTalk podcast, the largest recruitment industry podcast on YouTube.

Nitin began his recruitment career at Michael Page in 2014. In 2017 he co-founded Michael Sharma Group, a specialist recruitment agency in Coventry covering accountancy, finance, technology and other sectors. Over six years he grew it to a team of 15, then closed it in 2023.

That experience shaped what came next. Nitin had incorporated rectools.io in 2019 as a directory to help agency owners find the right tech and suppliers. The RecTalk podcast launched in 2023, and he took full ownership of it in January 2024. Together they have grown into RecTalk Media: a YouTube channel with more than 365,000 subscribers, the rectools® Recommends supplier directory, the RecStudio podcast production service and the Recruitment Podcast Network.

RecTalk Media works with more than 35 clients, including Bullhorn, Metaview and SourceWhale. It is an official media partner to RecFest, IHR, TEAM Network, Onrec and Recruitment Agency Expo.

Nitin is a co-founder of The Recruitment Curry Club and co-hosts its podcast, The Mixed Grill. He was nominated for Personality of the Year at the Onrec Awards in 2024 and 2025 and speaks regularly at industry events. He is based in the UK.
